1.Let’s talk about a healthy way of life. What do you do keep fit?

I try to do exercises in the morning. I think it helps me to warm up and get ready for a new day. In addition to that I go to the nearest swimming pool. I don’t like pulling up heavy things so swimming is my ideal activity.

2. Do you agree that bad habits, like smoking can be dangerous? Why (not)?

If you read about basic chemical ingredients of cigarettes, you will know that they are full of harmful things and really dangerous. I am amazed that they haven’t been banned yet. They are silent killers.

3. What questions can you ask a professional sportsman?

Why did you decide to become a professional sportsman? Is doing sport professionally good to your health?

4. What advice can you give a person who wants to lose weight?

Eat less and exercise more. «What you get is what you get back» is true when you talk about relationship between people and I think that it works if we talk about gaining weight. The amount of food you eat is something to do with your tomorrow’s weight. The more you eat, the more you will gain. Doing physical exercises helps to lose some weight as when you exercise you use energy which comes from previously eaten food.

5. Why is a balanced diet important for your health?

Our body is like a building and a careful architect is always serious about choosing the right building material. We should behave in the same way if we are serious about our health. People often become ill thanks to bad food. If you are sensible enough you have high chances of being healthy.

The way we live has a great influence on our health. If you are careless about following simple guidelines you may fall ill. In such a situation you are the only one to get the blame.

2. Is home-made food better than junk food? Why?

I suppose it is. If you cook something you may choose what you need. You will know if your ingredients are not good enough. You will not poison yourself on purpose.

3. Some people think that sport is only for professional sportsmen and fans. What is your point of view?

A professional sport is not for everyone. If you are not tall enough, you will never become a professional basketball player. Even if you are in good physical condition you may not succeed as there are many other people who are as good as you are or even better.

4. What can you advise a person who doesn’t know what kind of sport to take up?

If you want to have a good time with your friends you should think about taking up any sport game like football or basketball. If you simply want to be in shape you may go in for swimming. You’ll never overdo it. You just swim or leave the pool.

5. Does smoking lead to serious health problems? What are they?

The effects of smoking are serious. It can damage nearly every organ of the body. Smoking increases the risk for osteoporosis so bones may easily broke. The chemicals in cigarettes harm your blood cells and cause the malfunction of the heart. Smoking damages breathing and lungs which may lead to such illnesses as asthma and tuberculosis. It is bad for eyes as it increases risk of developing age-related degeneration which results in blindness.

6. What can you advise a person who can’t give up a bad habit?

If a person is not aware of the effects of his bad habit he needs more information. It is surprising how little some people know about health care. If he has enough information but finds it difficult to make up his mind then he has to pluck up his courage as well. Some people are frightened to make decisions. Indecisiveness can be dealt with the help of his friends. Their examples may make him do the same.
