1.Let’s talk about sport and a healthy way of life. What can you do to become a healthier person?

If you are lazy to work out regularly you may do less harm to your health. Don’t start bad habits like smoking and drinking alcohol. Get enough sleep and rest. Overworking is a bad habit as well. Drink enough water and eat healthy food only. If you bother to follow these simple recommendations you will be healthier than most people around you.

2. Do you agree that smoking is an unhealthy habit? Why (not)?

I think that warnings on packets of cigarettes are for good reason. Tobacco based cigarettes consist of potentially dangerous chemicals. Even electronic cigarettes are not a solution as their effect on people’s health hasn’t been studied properly. I fail to understand why people smoke.

3. What questions can you ask a professional sportsman?

Why did you decide to become a professional sportsman?
What are you going to do when you sport career is over?
How often do you get injured?

4. What can you advise a person who who doesn’t know what sport to take up?

I am a keen swimmer and no other kind of sporty activity is as good as swimming, in my opinion. Movements are natural and you can’t overdo. You develop most of your muscles and lungs. While running your hands are left out. Sport games are better as they exercise both legs and hands, but not everyone is competitive and only few like losing which often precedes winning.

5. Why is a balanced diet important for your health?

Your food is what you take in. Your body uses this kind of supply to develop. It need vitamins and minerals to grow and your food is the only source of it. People who don’t care about the food they eat often have health problems. Those who are more sensible are relatively rare visitors to doctors’.

If you had an opportunity to open a sport center what would it be like? What would you offer to the visitors?

I am fond of swimming so my preferences are quite obvious. Swimming is an ideal activity. No injuries and overstrains which are typical of other kinds of sports. My visitors will be happy to enjoy swimming all year round.

Do you do some sport to keep fit?

Not much. I don’t want to do sport professionally so I don’t attend any sport club. I jog and swim for pleasure. From time to time my fiends and I play volleyball. If there is enough snow in the winter I may try skiing.
