1. Let’s talk about education. What can you tell me about studying at school?

Some lessons are interesting, but others are boring. Some teachers try to entertain you whereas others make you learn everything by heart. It is cool to have fun at school, but without hard work you achieve nothing and fail your exams. Unless you concentrate on your studies you will make little progress. In general, school is ok.

2. Does your school have any traditions?

The main tradition in our school is our reunion day. Our former pupils are welcomed guests in it. If you studied at our school you may go to it any day you like. Your teachers and their colleagues will be happy to see you. On the reunion day we usually have a concert. Our school is proud of its pupils of the past and it has high hopes of pupils of the future.

3. Ask a British teenager about his/her school life

Do you like attending your school? What do you you like about your school? What are your favourite subjects?

4. What can you advise a student who is not very good at languages to do to achieve better results?

If you want to achieve any good results you have to concentrate on doing it. You can’t become an expert in something if you fail to study a subject of your choice for more than one hour per day. If you want to know something you should learn it by heart. Memorising something is the only way to succeed in learning. Read out what you need and write it down. Revision is also important. All people tend to forget the material which is not used on a daily basis.

5. Today some young people think that having a good education is not very important. Do you agree with them?

Education has always been important and I am sure that it will always be important. Success may be gained in different ways and it is not necessary that being smart and having a good education is the shortest one. I have no doubt that a person with no education will not interest me as a friend. Having a lot of money doesn’t make a person interesting enough to have a conversation.
А сейчас перейдем к вопросам по теме Let’s talk about studying at school, найденным на просторах интернета.

1. Do you agree that schoolchildren must wear a school uniform? Why? Why (not)?

I think that pupils should go to school in order to study different subjects and become better at doing something useful. Nothing should prevent kids from doing their best. When pupils wear the same clothes the only way to show that you are better is use your brains.

2. Аsk me what kind of pupil I was at school.

Were you the best pupil in your class? What were you favourite subjects? Did you study on Saturdays?

3. Which school club would you advise your classmate to join?

If something interests my friend for instance dancing, he/she should join in a dancing club to become better. If he/she is not sure about dancing, he/she may go there to see if he/she is capable of dancing. If he/she doesn’t like it, I will advise another club, for example karate.

4. Today some young people think that having a good education is very important. Do you agree with them?

I agree with them. A good education is very important to everyone. I don’t want to say that without having to attend university you will never achieve anything. It will take you much more time without education. Don’t put off your success by missing lessons.

5. Do you agree that our school gives a person a good start in life? Why (not)?

A good start is a successful beginning of a career, isn’t it? If so, I agree with the statement. Kids at school are given an opportunity to learn the basics of any science. In addition, children are shown how to get more knowledge. Can you hope for more? If you are lazy, school is not to blame for your later problems.

6.Nowadays some young people complain that they have lots of problems at school. Do you agree with them?

I don’t think that it is true. We experience some problems at school, but our parents had the same problems as well. The problems are the same: low marks, bad behaviour, much homework. There is nothing new. We shouldn’t complain to everyone about them. We had better learn how to cope with them on our own.
