Are you afraid to go out alone at night where you live?

I wouldn’t say that the idea of going out in the dead of night makes me shiver with horror. I simply think it’s not a good idea to hang around especially unattended. I have no intention of becoming part of crime statistics. I don’t want to you to be under the mistaken impression that my native town is a vicious place but I sincerely believe that prevention is better than cure. In my opinion any precaution is worth being taken when it has something to do with things of vital importance like health. The streets of Orsha’s are well-lit and you run into police patrols quite often. As for discos there are bouncers to make sure that everything is ok. Nothing special in fact. There is nothing to be scared of, but it is a well known fact that most crimes are committed under the cover of darkness. As I told you before, I prefer not to run up against any problems and do my best to avoid them if possible.

What places of interest are there in your town?

Different people may find different places appealing but, luckily, Orsha is a place where everyone can find something interesting. If you are interested in literature you should pay a visit to the Korotkevich museum. There you’ll find interesting exhibitions devoted not only to the writer but other topics of interest. The museum hosts various temporary exhibitions. They range from modern arts to folk ones. If you want to know something about the heroic past of partisans Zaslonov museum is the best place for you. You will be narrated about the great patriotic war and the locals who fight against fascist invaders on the territory of the orsha district and, of course, the last days of Zaslonov’s. The ruins of the former Jesuit college will attract those who are keen on our cultural heritage. Parents with little children would definitely like to visit the local amusement park. All the rides are at a reasonable price. The young will find a wealth of discos and clubs
