Сочинение на тему Let’s talk about shopping

Shopping is very important to all of us. It helps people to concentrate on something at which they are good. Having done something useful you can exchange it for something you need. Shop assistants try to sell what they have on offer and this desire makes them lower prices or give presents to their customers. Sellers make goods more accessible to people. Thanks to them we have goods delivered, stored and distributed. That’s why I think that shopping plays a big role in functioning and developing any society. Apart from that shopping is not only an activity aimed at gaining something at the lowest possible price. For many people shopping is a way of expressing their personality. Take buying clothes and cosmetics for instance. We buy them to show how different from others we are. Some nationalities especially oriental ones regard shopping as a way of communicating. The seller and his customer should pay respect to each other by trying to bargain for a better price.

Advise me on how to make my own budget.

Planning a budget is an art which a person may take years to master. If you can’t put a stop to spending money on something glossy but unneeded you will never gain this skill. Before making plans you must know the two figures: the amount of your monthly income and the amount of money you have to spend on the really important things like an accommodation payment, your food bill. The rest of the money after paying for the rent and food is what you have to invest in your future. Thinking about future it is not wise to forget that something may go wrong. A certain amount of money should be put aside. On a rainy day you will be able to fall bank on it.

Do you agree that if you have problems, money can help you to solve them? Why (not)?

It depends on the sort of a problem you have come up against. If it is a money based one like a bank loan or a delayed payment so it can be dealt in this way. If it is not a financial one, using money to to see to it is dangerous. Some people are willing to bend rules hoping to get your money as a form of reward. Their so called willingness to help may may force them to break a law and you both will have problems with the police. I will use money only as a last resort means to save lives of people who are dear to me.

Some teenagers think that parents should pay them for doing their household chores. Do you share this opinion?

Those who see it as a way of getting more money forget that children who gain money in this way have to buy their own clothes and other things of this kind. Parents easily fall for this ransom as they want to give their children some money to let them learn how to use it effectively. They will never give more money than it is necessary.

Parents usually give pocket money to their children. But some people think they shouldn’t do it as teenagers don’t work. What do you think about it?

I think it may work this way. Parents stop buying something for their kids, say, some clothes and cosmetics. They will make it possible for children to earn the same amount of money by doing something about the house. Children will have to buy the things they need. It will be done under close parental guidance. It will the kid who decides what to buy anyway otherwise it will take all the fun out of it. It will not cost parents an extra penny and they will get all the housework done. Pretty fair, I think.
