Сочинение по теме There is no friend as faithful as a book
As a saying goes that the book is the ladder of the progress of mankind, so you can make progress every day if you do some reading in an easy way. A man may usually be known by the books he reads as well as by the company he keeps; for there is a companionship of books as well as of men; and one should always live in the best company, whether it is of books or of men. So if you want to be knowledgeable, do please read books; if you want to be positive, do please make friends with positive people; if you want to become successful, do please keep company of successful people. A good book may be among the best of friends. It is the same today that it always was, and it will never change. It is the most patient and cheerful of companions. It does not turn its back upon us in times of distress. It always receives us with the same kindness; amusing and instructing us in youth, and comforting us in age. Books introduce us into the best society; they bring us into the presence of the greatest minds that have ever lived. We hear what they said and did; we see them as if they were really alive; we sympathize them; their experience becomes ours. If you read every day, your good consciousness will be very strong. You will be always thinking in a good way and not harming other people. Then in other way around, people will turn to like you very much. Thus the best books are treasuries of good words, the golden thoughts, which, remembered and cherished, become our constant companions and comforters. Just like a good book always becomes people’s best friend…
