Порывшись в архивах, я нашел еще серию упражнений на устойчивые словосочетания по учебнику Destination C1-2. В предлагаемых упражнениях вам предлагается придумать слово, которые можно будет употребить во всех трех предложениях, предлагаемых в каждом наборе.
Как правило , данный тип упражнений называемыми  трешками  с непривычки дает очень не просто.  Все приходит с практикой. В этой записи вам предлагается поработать с устойчивыми выражениями по теме Thinking and learning.

Естественно предлагаемый материал далеко выходит за рамки уровня сложности заданий централизованного тестирования по английскому языку, но возможно он вызовет интерес у тех учащихся, для которых ЦТ кажется уже слишком простым испытанием.
