Очевидно, что место идиом в рамках ЦТ по английскому языку это вопросы B21-22. К сожалению, о природе данного блока известно не много и пройдет еще лет пять до того момента, когда можно будет с полной уверенностью определить границы необходимой лексики. По этой причине в этом блоке стоит подстраховаться.
Список идиом для изучения на основе Round Up 5
Первая треть вышеуказанной книги дает следующие сочетания в качестве материала для изучения:
be at a loss for words — потерять дар речи (от удивления)
be broke — быть на мели

Упражнение на закрепление изученных идиом
Это задание носит обучающий характер: почти на каждую идиому есть по два примера. В тексте упражнение отсутствуют первая или вторая часть идиомы. Как правило, идиомы даются учащимся с трудом, так как у них перед глазами нет достаточного количества примеров их употребления.
